Tip # 9 “Our Party Fiasco Last Year…”

Tip # 9

It seems every year there are tragic tales told in January about the lackluster (or worse) entertainer engaged to perform at important holiday functions. What is it they say about history repeating itself?

In this economy there are more “part-time-pros” going after holiday bookings than ever, they not only edge out the true professionals, but often hurt the industry and the clients who thought they were getting a bargain. Well, what would happen if you hired a semiprofessional attorney, or a part-time doctor?

Every professional in every field relies on his reputation and track record to keep his business flourishing. A pro can’t afford a bad review or negative word of mouth, so he or she delivers the goods.

Those goods don’t stop with the performance, they include every detail of your party- all the before and after needs of the client, and a smooth backstage experience as well as a stunning onstage one. If we make our living performing we’re going to care personally and deeply about your event.

We’ve spoken about the importance of communication when planning your event. Has your entertainer not only covered all the bases with you by email and phone, but provided a written agreement that covers everything you require and need to know? Most part-timers don’t have the track record or foresight to think ahead and guarantee your experience will be successful.

There’ll be lots of gift giving over the next few months. Why not give yourself the gift of a low-stress high-success event by going with an experienced and prepared professional? Your January water cooler conversations will be easier too…
