BLOG TIP #1 - When Booking Your Event Entertainment

TIP  #1
  • RECOGNIZE YOUR AUDIENCE
Whatever your program you need to match your speaker/entertainer to your specific group or audience. Obviously you’d not want to hire someone to give gardening tips to a room of statisticians… that’s a no-brainer.

It’s time to brainstorm to discover your groups E.Q. or Entertainment Quotient.

As you dissect and define your event attendees, your own questions and answers will vary depending upon your group, but start with a few like these:
  • What are your guests areas of interest?
  • What is the age range of your guests?
  • What do your guests all have in common?
  • What entertainment will compliment your event theme?
  • What did you book last time, do you need something different?
  • What are the educational, economic or geographic demographics of your guests?
  • What results do you want? Excitement, motivation, introspection, or just fun?
  • What was the feedback from past event attendees, was it a positive experience?
These, and your own, questions will help you to explore entertainment or keynote speaker possibilities. Whether you’re going for simple entertainment or perhaps a meaningful change and shift, or direction and motivation, look at your ROI, your particular Return On Investment.

Good professional entertainers are not inexpensive, and before you book someone be sure they can deliver what your guests need and want, and you feel you’ve received your money’s worth.

Stay tuned for another event booking idea within the next few days!

     Magically,
     Walt
